25/9/2022. Cask, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear dark amber copper with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, biscuit, fruits, toasted edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Slightly oily, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

Cask at York Beerf & Cider Festival 2022. Reddish brown colour, off-white bubbly foam head and aroma of malt, berry fruit hints. Taste is malty, earthy, fruity, berry notes, with roasty nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Rook & Gaskill, York February 2020. Golden in colour, with a moderately-sized, white, head. Pre-covid rating. From memory, this had some citrus and strawberry fruit, rich tea malts, a hint of white pepper and a drying finish. Fine.
