Bottle thanks to Andre. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is earthy roast, coffee grounds, dark chocolate tart, eccles cake and liquorice. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, salted liquorice, burnt toast, slightly ashy, cacao nib and coffee with a dry, earthy roast finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Aroma is rather nice. A decent stout, if a touch earthy.
