Cask-conditioned at Lime Kiln, Bristol 12 February 2022. Golden in colour, with a frothy, white, head. Stone fruit character with a yeasty edge, a touch of citrus hop, and some light, grainy, malts leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at The Plough and Harrow, Litlington. A brilliant pint of English ale. Although sold as american pale ale, it ticked the bitter boxes for me with not thst much Hop but a very dry bitter lingering ending. Happily had 3 pints of this golden beauty and could have had more. (25/10/21) ---- Bottle from the brewery. Pretty heavy ale that delivers flavour and bitterness. 3.6 to 3.4.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017, day one - London. Pours clear yellow with a light, creamy white head. The nose holds mild grass, pale bread, citrus, butter. Lightly sweet with notes of biscuits, strong grass, more butter. Light bodied with fine, soft carbonation. Grainy finish, mellow butter, more grass. Eh, not great.

Bottle from Bottles & Books. Clear ruby/brown body with a thin beige head that quickly fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of Marmite, wood and blackcurrant. Flavour of cranberry, caramel and earth. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A wonderful beer with depth of flavour that belies its ABV. I’d love to try this on cask one day.
