Cask gravity at Beer Sellar Tonbridge. clear mid brown amber colour thin white head. ok condition. ok premium bitter. some yeast some creamed corn. pepper black finish. dries out. very dry hedgerow fruit premium bitter with black pepper bitter dry finish. like licking a woody dry hedge during a walk in the English countryside. decent.

0.5 l bottle at home. Beautifull stylish, yet very simple label. Pours very dark brown, towards black. Medium small, creamy, off white head with a low-average stability. Scent is biit nutty, mild caramelly notes almost, tad roasty. Taste is surprisinlgy bitter, sharp, yet no real hoparoma. Roasted, almost burnt malts , medium mild in intensity. higher carbonation ( really high for a UK beer ) . Ends roasty, mild lingering bitterness, fading caramelly undertone ( very mild ) Decent.

Pours a clear red brown colour with an average sized fine beige head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts and chocolate. Similar in taste, moderately sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and an earthy drying bitterness.

Half-pint, cask ale at The Man In The Moon. Shared with Finn. Patchy off-white head, clear dark amber body, clingy lacing. Ripe fruit and mid-sweet grainy malts on the nose. Balanced taste profile of toffee and leafy hops. Fair bittersweet level to the finish. Satisfying, after breakfast drink. (Newport, Isle of Wight 21.10.2019).

500ml bottle from the Grumpy Goat. Finally an East Sussex beer. Pours clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma is a caramel, nuts and hops. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, nuts. Mild bitter finish. Simple but decent.

Half-pint shared with Finn at George, Tunbridge Wells. Deep amber coloured body. Patchy surface, upper part lacing. Distant malt-fruity smell. The taste profile has got moments of caramel and marmalade. Light mid-dry bittersweet endnotes. Accepted. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).

Gravicask at Spa Valley 9th Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Clear dark amber body, naked at the top, dotted spots to the glassware. Moderate aromas of floral hops and bread. Mild malt-driven flavours together with noble hops. Semi-sweet malt-fruity end. Clean on the swallow. Satisfying. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).

Cask-conditioned, at the Punch Bowl, (JDW), York October 2019. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Leafy hops, a touch of lemon fruit, light malts and a dryish finish. Good.
