2026 Clitheroe Beer Festival #12. Smooth tasting black coloured ale. Oaty to an extent, pleasant roasted similarly. Mild roasted notes, decent.

[50cl bottle picked up at Borde Hill Gardens, East Sussex.] A golden amber pour with a thin white head and very gentle carbonation; earthy malt aroma; lip-smacking caramel malt taste; then a fruity malt finish. A proper old-fashioned bitter.

Draft at The Frontier, Eastbourne. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, light citrus hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, dry, spicy hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

]50cl bottle at 4.1% ABV, bought at Borde Hill Gardens, West Sussex.] A pale amber pour with a fast fading white head and moderate carbonation; aroma of straw and English hops; full flavoured with bags of hops and some caramel malts; then a peppery finish that prickles the throat. Very tasty.

Cask at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Rusty Bucket Pub

Raisin, red grape jam, prunes & red apple chutney aromas. Taste is a nice mix of the above with some dark fruits coming through in the back end. Malty sweet with a pronounced bitterness. Nice.

Cask at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Citrus & light tropical fruit aromas. Fruity hoppy taste which segues nicely into the finish.

Can from the brewery shop, Littlington. Lovely fresh hoppy aroma. Quite flat despite the haze. Always pleasing with this hop with good bitterness.

Can from the brewery shop, Littlington. Got high recommendations from papps. A clean, decent pale ale but did not excite.

Can from the brewery shop, Littlington. This did not quite meet the expectations that I had hoped for. A little lacklustre and not getting any panettone frankly. Bit grippy.
