[50cl bottle picked up at Borde Hill Gardens, East Sussex.] A golden amber pour with a thin white head and very gentle carbonation; earthy malt aroma; lip-smacking caramel malt taste; then a fruity malt finish. A proper old-fashioned bitter.

Draft at The Frontier, Eastbourne. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, light citrus hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, dry, spicy hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

]50cl bottle at 4.1% ABV, bought at Borde Hill Gardens, West Sussex.] A pale amber pour with a fast fading white head and moderate carbonation; aroma of straw and English hops; full flavoured with bags of hops and some caramel malts; then a peppery finish that prickles the throat. Very tasty.
