Cask at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Nose is apricot, orange marmalade & gooseberry. Taste is very similar. Quite a sweet aftertaste, lightly bitter. Good sessionable brew.

Draft at Steamworks, Seaford. Poured a clear light amber colour with a thin white head. The aroma is malt, light hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, earthy, light herbal, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle from my trip to East Sussex late last year. Pours a dark amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, fruits & sweet malt. Medium body & bitter finish. Very good best bitter.

(Bottle, 0.5l, 20250610) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had earth, toffee and toasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, toffee, sulphur and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts and bitterness. A nice malty brew with interesting features.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, 20250610)The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, grain, sweetness and honey. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, honey sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had grass and bitterness. Nice.

The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
