Draft at Cooper's Chelsea. Hazy yellowish pour with a white head and sticky lacing. Spice and yeast aroma, some grains and grass. Taste is spice, a little funk, and a bit of tartness too. Tart, clean, and nuts-dry on the close, with a spicy tingly.

750 ml bottle from the brewery. Rating #5600!
Cloudy, murky pour. Orange color, with a huge head. Apparently they had a bit of an issue with bottle conditioning with brett, so I knew to pour slowly, but still, it's quite difficult to get it to not be 3/4 head. Anyway, once you finally get it into a glass and wait impatiently for the head to die down, there's a really nice aroma here. Strong and fruity, lots of mango, stone fruit, and tropical fruit. Some funky notes as well. The taste starts fruity but becomes much more funky and dry from the mid palate to the close. Tingly feel, medium bodied, dry, bretty finish. Maybe not a flawless rendition of a bottle conditioned brett beer, but man does that yeast do some cool things here. I feel like future bottle runs of this should be even better, is a little flawed, but it is really close to being great in my mind at least. For now I'll score it here.

Draft at the brewery, 8/4/16.  Murky orange with a frothy off white head and average lace.  Tropical hops, pine, and a bit of stone fruit.  Balanced with a good sweetness and some nice bitterness too.  Great hop mix here.  Big fruit component. Excellent beer. Now I can’t wait to try Root + Branch once they start brewing their own stuff.
