Description
When we started this company, our goal was to keep it as straightforward as possible: to craft flavors and experiences that the people of Maine hadn’t had before, and serve them as fresh as possible. Over the years, as the business has grown, we are now able to share our beers with people in other areas – regionally, nationally, and internationally – but Maine always comes first. We strive to take care of those things closest to us, and let that radiate outward: our staff, our processes for making beer, our tap rooms and loyal customers, and the surrounding communities that support us. Everything we do is in support of these things, we are nothing without them.

Pours hazy gold into a willi. Bright white soapy head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Papaya and guava aromas. Sweet with hot honey, mild plastic and meadow upfront turning to earthy spice and banana before the bitter earth finish.

Bottle shared by CLW—thanks, Chris! Virtually opaque dark brown, nice viscosity. Aroma is strong caramel, brown sugar, hint of cinnamon, dark fruit, Barrel enters the equation as it warms. Taste is strong, well balanced caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit, raisin, bourbon. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Exceptional.

500 ml from the brewery. Batch #2 bottled 04/ 2024. Aroma is toffee, mild maple, brown sugar, and a very mild bourbon. Holy hell. The malt is layered. Toffee, raisins, brown sugar hints and a very soft lingering bourbon. Absolutely no alcohol burn at 14.7% ABV. Absolutely wonderful! 🏆
