Sample at GTMW 2023, 8/12/23. Hazy orange, thin tan head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, stone fruit. Taste is stone fruit, raisin, bready malt. Mild tartness.

Tap at DU. Aggressively big cinnamon. Chocolate malts try to intervene but the cinnamon is thick and bold. Quite a beer, a half pour more than suffices.

Tap at Fermentorium. Copper amber body. Steady, creamy off-white head. Mellow and easy drinking. Caramel, amber malt tones. Not much hop character. OK.

Tap at Fermentorium. Really nice stuff. A little juicier than perhaps the style intended, but quite nice nonetheless. Anything lead by Azacca is cool with me, giving some neomexicanus fun. Supplies the crispness haze brewers just can't get to these days. Solid beer.

Tap at Fermentorium. 18 hour boil is pretty cool. Deep dark fruit notes, touched with some charred brown sugar. Quite an impressive beer. The cinnamon or who knows what scent they have going on in the brewery is odd and throws off my palate but this one still maintains. Good stuff.

Aromas are mainly fresh pine resin hops with a little citrus. Flavors are similar to nose, add in some weed and rye bread. While bitterness is low, it's enough to balance the sweet and carbonation. Full body and satisfying finish. Nice beer.

Very dark and deep copper, bronze and almost cola coloured clear body with a thinnish, half centimetre tall off-white and tan head - very deep and not very pleasant looking for the style. Aroma of earthy, nutty, grainy malts with a bunch of caramel, cardboard, rye, peanuts and funky yeast in the nose, without seemingly any hops - this one smells like a brown ale! Medium-bodied; Deep, caramelised sugar and toffee flavours show at first with some bread, yeast and a touch of sugars towards the end, but again, no real hoppiness, pungency, alpha acids or even any characteristics aside from the earthy and nutty notes. Aftertaste is one dimensional as well, with a faint hit of rye and specialty grains here, but the aforementioned caramel and toffee is the only note in the finish. Overall, this is very poor, especially for the style and I'd be disappointed even if this was categorised as a brown ale, but this is devoid of anything of value here. Definitely pass this one up and should I find any more from this brewery - I'll probably pass them up as well. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Hy-Vee Grocery in Madison, Wisconsin on 08-August-2021 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-October-2021.

Tap at Wauwatosa. Interesting beer, cool display of Hallertauer Blanc. Definitely adds some berry tone, but bright and tangy. Pleasant backdrop, crackery, bready tones. Straddling the IPL/Pils fence. Good. Kind of reminds me of a good one of those Mikkeller Single Hop beers from a decade back...in a good way.
