Pint can from Flanagan's, 6/3/20. Uh oh. Pours black with a six finger fizzy tan head. Fair retention. Aroma of roast, chocolate, plastic. Taste is chocolate, cherry, roast. Medium bodied, carb high and strong enough to strip out the flavor. It's not terrible but there is an infection here. Not great, but I'll be able to finish it while watching TP Black Lodge clips.

Pint can from WIne Cellar DePere, 5/29/20. Hazy amber, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of floral, leafy hops, toasted malt, a bit of citrus and green. Taste is dank, green, earth, papaya, pale malt. Medium bodied, juicy, pretty dry. Nice enough.

Another undesirable fruited IPA from Fermentorium. Not really good for a fruit beer, not good for an IPA. Medium bodied, drinkable. Mediocre stuff.

16oz can. Sweet fruit IPA. Apricot tone is wholly undesirable, artificial. Doesn't work as a fruit beer and doesn't work as an IPA. Extract flavor dominates.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2019. Pours a hazy amber with a slight brown hue and a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a leather note, earthy grains, bourbon and a touch of toffee underlying. Flavor has earthy grains, slight booze

16oz can. Filtered orange-copper body. Thin, fading head. Doesn't really have that deep malt depth I would have expected. Has some fruity ale tones, maybe two row? Seems Americanized, not in a good way. Rather boring and imperfect for the style, but drinkable enough.

The Aromas are pale malt, a little bit of toast and a hint of fruit. Flavors are bittersweet with a sweet upfront balanced by good carbonation and the bitterness coming out in the Finish. Good body with no off qualities. Nice beer.

Tap at Off Broadway. Big chocolate banana tone. Pretty solid example of the style. Big and rich, but not too sweet. Right next door to a Doppelbock, just no lager tone. Well done.
