Description
A farm brewery in Caledon, Ontario. Troy Baxter, Mike Nuttall and Grace Wilkinson make hoppy, hazy ales in small batches that sell out as fast as they can make them. We specialize in IPA, but we also have a deep affinity for farmhouse ales, crispy lagers and mixed fermentation sours.
We used to brew on a small, inefficient 100ish liter brew house in an old retrofitted calf barn. It was a lot of work, but it's all we could afford to get this thing started without investors. Now we mostly brew on a bigger, sort of more efficient brewery.
Since day one we have believed in the same fundamentals: quality and freshness above all else. Our mission is to get our beer to your mouth when it's at it's best!

(473ml can from somewhere - it is a backlog!) Pours fairly hazy gold with an average white head and lace. Aroma of papaya, pink grapefruit, mango, pale oranges, dank edges, some cut flowers. Flavour is quite dry and heavily floral, a bomb of pink grapefruit peel and pulp, cut geraniums (and their stems), citrus pith, some tangerine and lime, very clean yeast and retiring malt, bone dry finish with a lot of geraniol, pink grapefruit, grapefruit peel and floral astringency. Medium-bodied, oily, average carbonation. Grapefruit all over the place here which isn't always my favourite, but it's intense and well-brewed. Good stuff.

(473ml can from somewhere...it's a backlog!) Pours near-opaque yellow-gold with a thick white head and lace. Notes of lime zest, grapefruit zest and pulp, some soft tangerine and mandarin sweetness, a little lime/lemon pulp as well, green melons, not a ton of stone fruit sweetness, malt body is quite dry for style and very plush/oaty in feel, some slight doughiness, dank edges, finish is bone dry, lightly bitter, touch of citrusy tang, lots of lime and grapefruit peels, some citrus pith, a little guava/papaya floral quality as well. Aftertaste is lots of lime peel and citrus pith with a healthy helping of green melon and a little berry quality. Medium-bodied, smooth creamy carbonation. Definitely on the 'green' side but in terms of fruit colour rather than hop burn. Nice!

Black colour, no head. Aroma of chocolate, alcohol, hazelnuts, petrol. Bold, sweet, but also excessively boozy, hot; dark chocolate, phenolic, roasted nuts, vanilla (bourbon?).
It's messy, not easy to drink.

(473ml can from 4th and 7, Toronto) Pours near-opaque yellow-gold with a thick white head that fades slowly with lace. Aroma of grapefruit, lime, pale orange, Five Alive minus the sweetness, grapes and gooseberries, dankness, wet leaves, some cereals, a little stinging mango. Flavour is fairly dry, lots of lime and grapefruit, dank white grapes, some pale orange sweet/tart vibes, slightly stinging citrus oils and bitters, smooth doughy maltiness, a little bit of astringent/soapy grip towards the finish as it warms along with slight pepperiness and alcohol drydown. Medium-full body, very creamy. Love the power of Riwaka but this is also a little unbalanced for Badlands, so it could be a touch more drinkable.
