16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you Tom! Aroma of lactic acid that reminds me of lemon. Do I find strawberry?? No. It is a very lactic forward sour ale. I guess it’s a traditional sour ale, very kettle sour. Not my thing.

Can pour. Hazy, bright yellow, fine particulates, ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong tart lemon and strawberry. Taste is strongly tart lemon and faint strawberry. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Not too sour for me--just tart--but nothing terribly compelling to me.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: black in the glass, two and a half fingers of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: roasted dark malts, dark chocolate then the orero cookie scent of milk chocolate and sweet cream/vanilla
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas into a sweet malty blend; finishes like oreo cookies
Texture: light to medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper; smooth along the tongue, no harshness
Overall: nicely done pastry stout showcasing the oreos.

Can to nonic glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a one finger off white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: deep milk chocolate tones up front, some dark chocolate, light fudgy notes then the sweet tones and the roasty tones of the coffee, subtle vanilla further down in there
Flavor: sweetly blends the prior noted aromas, subte roasty tones underneath; great finish of the coffee sweet and roasty vibes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, exceptionally smooth along the tongue - nothing seems to want to bother the smoothness, wow, boy is that awesome or what! And it doesn't become watery at all
Overall: the texture is the best thing about this beer but the rest of it is quite good too, well brewed and worthy to return to.

Can to mug.
Appearance: dark brown in color with a one finger beige foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts with an ample amount of earthy to grassy and floral hops flanking the sides of the scents, chocolatey and some coffee tones ride in underneath
Flavor: well blended between all those prior noted aromas - a bitter to toasty and a little bit sweet; finishes the same way too
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, good level of carb, some smoothness but also some rugged vibes from the earthy hops acting fairly aggressive with my tongue
Overall: totally an American styled brown ale, and quite nice, I thought these hoppier brown ales were almost becoming dinosaurs but glad MM does one, I would return to this.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: great looking hazy burnt yellow/light orange color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: tropical fruity hops, very light bready malts
Flavor: blended the prior noted aromas together very bright with a bittersweet juicy tone; finishes tropical juicy
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, some smoothness along the tongue but also a very bitterness from the hops roaming over the tongue
Overall: mostly, a pretty nicely done NEIPA I could return to.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger off white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: milk chocolate, toasted authentic coconut, dark chocolate, light roasted coffee tones
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas into a sweet to roasty blend; finish of the toasted coconut and milk chocolate
Texture: medium bodied, leaning ever so slightly to being a sipper, fair smoothness but also some roasty prickly notes
Overall: I think I had this one in the nick of time as though I did report in the aroma as the coconut is authentic I believe it started turning a bit and may have been an ever so slight note of the dreaded "suntan lotion" character showing up and it's stuff like this why I preach about dates on all cans and bottles, just wish more brewers would do that for us consumers, come on, this isn't rocket science to do that.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown in the pour and seems to maintain that in the glass with a one finger off-white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: the peanut butter (nutty to salty to sweet) is there with the marshmallow sweetness with the porter qualities underneath
Flavor: pretty much tastes like peanut butter and marshmallow fluff in a porter styled beer; finishes the same too
Texture: light to medium bodied - perhaps leaning towards the medium side a bit more; between sessionable and being a sipper, some smoothness along the tongue but also some salty tones slowing the smoothness down a bit
Overall: I think Mean Max did what they wanted to with this beer and I believe I would return to this.

Can from Eddy's Beverage, Inc. Saratoga Springs. Lightly hazy, pale yellow, nice sparkle, ephemeral fizzy head, no lacing. Aroma is pale malts, hint of lime and coconut. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, super frothy texture, fizzy carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Aroma and flavor are more cream ale than coconut and frothiness of palate makes it difficult to taste anything. Was hoping Mean Max revolutionized Cream Ales, but this disappointed.

Can from Eddy's Beverage Company, Saratoga Springs. Cloudy, bright, juicy yellow with thin cap of head, fair retention, no lacing. Aroma is strong mango and vanilla. Taste is strong mango, slight tart character, and vanilla. Smooth, frothy texture, somewhat watery, average-to-lively carbonation, finish as taste. An interesting iteration of a Cream Ale, to be sure, but they executed what they sought out.
