Bottle shared at the CBJ BIG BOOSTY XMAS tasting, thanks to Tipple, 13/12/23. Black topped with a thin khaki cap. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, light charr, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises cocoa powder, mellow roast, toffee, fruit rinds. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay sipper but sub par for the style.

Definitely a lot of salinity on the lips. The panda is coming cross with lots of sweetness and vanilla, lemongrass is present more in the background

Flavours are definitely there—rose up front and lightly sour apricot to finish. Thin, but only 3.3 ABV so to be expected. Light clean drying finish

This is a fascinating and very well-made beer. Congratulations Eric. It definitely needs food, the scallion is very clear and not in the same way as from certain hops. The wheat beer choice works although for a pint, it gets a little samey
