Big beige head. Clear brown body with strong carbonation. Syrupy caramelly aroma with herbal earthy rye notes. Sweetish caramelly rye taste with perfumy earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy caramelly rye aftertaste with mealy chocolatey notes. Nice, drinkable, clean. (0.5l bottle, from Gyvas Bar, Kaunas.)

Medium offwhite head. Clear deep yellow body. Fruity herbal aroma. Sweetish herbal sugary taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Dryish herbal floral aftertaste with mealy fruity notes. Decent, but low on flavour. (0.33l bottle from Bambalyne, Vilnius.)

Tap @ Piw Paw - Beer Heaven. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and cinnamon. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. Watery. 300715

Sample @ PiwPaw Beer Heaven, Warsaw. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, cinnamon, malt, grass and hops.

On tap at Šnekutis Štepono, Vilnius. Mid to dark reddish brown, a bit of beige/tan head. Bread and stewed stone fruit aroma with a metallic hint. Improvement in the taste: very sweet, almost a bit cloying, but not quite enough to lessen the enjoyment. Notes of yeast and raisin. Sugary, fruity finish. Body somewhat thin. Pretty good drink, very refreshing on a hot day.

Tap from Vilniaus Alus, Vilnius. Dark drown, fairly impenetrable. Looks very heavily carbonated. No head. Smell is fruity, cola nut, liquorice, vanilla, cinnamon. Smells like cola, tastes like cola as well: sweet/spicy with vanilla and sarsaparilla notes. Hmmm, am I actually drinking an alcoholic beverage or did I order a soft drink by mistake? Alcohol very well hidden. I would prefer beer to taste like beer, if I want this flavour I’ll save my cash and my units. Having said this, it’s pleasant enough taken on its own merit. Not really recommended.

On draft from Gyvo Alaus Krautuvele, Trakai. Moody deep gold, murky. Small head but lots of lacing. Light scent of citrus, grass, hay. Taste starts sweet but turns to a gentle coaxing bitterness. Nicely carbonated. It leaves an odd saccharin note in the middle of the tongue, which spoils the party a little bit. Still quite nice.
