(Bottle, 0.33 l, from Bierkoning, 20230908) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, hops, sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste had cocoa powder, ash and bitterness. Tasty.

Carnivale Brettanomyces 2023. Pours a hazy, pale yellow colour. No head to speak of. Aroma's: sourish, light sulphur. Retronasal: sourish, sake. Flavour is light sour, sake-like. Light bodied. Finishes slightly dry, but not bitter. Interesting.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Sour nose. Cloudy straw yellow colour, fair frothy white head, diminishing slowly, thin later remains, light lacing. Aroma sour, basement, lemon, floral notes, lactose. Mild taste, medium sweet and sour, slightly bitter, light lemon, traces of honey, lactose, medicinal notes (also retronasal), spicy touch. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, sweet, sourish and light bitter aftertaste, floral notes, well-balanced, easy to drink, refreshing, an original and very nice brew.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy very pale golden, sizzling white head. Aroma: Grape, vinous, yeasty notes. Taste: Vinuous notes, fruity grape, some Saison yeast. Malty. Moderate sweet, very light bitterness. Brut, Sizzling, Champagne-like. Bit spicy and light funky hints. Below medium body, average carbonation. Beer-wine hybrid. Ok.
