On tap at the brewpub. Black coloured, small to medium sized pale beige head, mild roasty nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee and touch of caramel with dryish roasty finish. Slightly watery but ok one.

Tap at Teacher's. Pitch black body, off-white, thick head. Raisins in the slightly metallic aroma, bit nuttty, vague nut&raisin chocolate vibes, but without much chocolate. Medium body, sweetish aspects but finishing fairly dry. Coffee, raisin notes, light roast, bit soapy, it was a bit grainy at first sip, but that settled into some cheap chocolate background. Bitterish finish, lightly herbal, some alcohol in the aftertaste. A good dark beer I'd say, if a bit too wintery for August.

Tap at the brewpub. Bit hazy golden body, lightly darker, thick off-white head. Floral, mildly fruity aroma, spicy touch. Extremely dried out taste, citric touch and some spicy, borderline phenolic touches, veeery high carbonation. Lasting bitterness in the finish. Hard to drink because of the carbonation sadly, which brings the score down...
