Lots of blood orange, providing a sharp citrus bite and a pithy bitterness on the back end. Grassy middle gives a mildly sweet undertone, while the hops are mostly subdued behind the outsized citric center of the beer. Not bad, but the blood orange comes across as a little overkill considering the hop bill being used.

Should rate much higher than it does, but damned if this bomber isn't flat as a six-week-old open two-liter of Sprite. Bottling date on the label says it's only a little over 9 months old, plus it was wax-sealed, but nary a bubble is to be found. Disappointing, because otherwise it's a tasty stout, the whiskey rounding out the residual MoonPie sweetness and turning the finish into a tasty chocolate-tinged vanilla-oak-booze cocktail. Notes of graham and marshmallow underline the anise, char, and whiskey, and a slight dark fruit and molasses vein circles the periphery. I'll revisit a fresh pint when available, but for now this bottle's a bummer.

Nice traditional weissbier, full of grass and straw and clove, with a soft vanilla undertone and hints of yeast and lemon on the back end. Crisp finish laced with floral undertones. Good beer.

Tasty, if a bit messy. Nice mix of char, chocolate, anise, molasses, and oak, with a ton of bourbon on the back end adding baking spice, cola, and vanilla to the finish. Dark berries, raisin, and espresso come through in the fade. Not all that pretty, though, coming out fizzy and losing its head quickly, and the texture's thin and slightly soda-ish in carbonation. Sloppy but good, I guess.

Very malt-forward for an American wheat ale, with an outsized toasted bread and caramel backbone overshadowing the more gentle grassy, fruit-tinged notes of the style. Hints of lemon and orange backed up by mild floral hops offset the malt, but it's hard to find much balance or nuance. Not bad, but not what you'd expect.

Nice IPA, a pleasant mix of caramel and wet malt notes with grapefruit, mango, pine, grass, and pepper. Finishes with a modest sweetness backed by lingering woody bitterness. Body feels heavier than a 5.6% IPA should, but I'm not complaining. Nothing groundbreaking, but tasty.

Looks like the perfect NEIPA, opaque as orange milk, pure amber-gold haze with an endless frothy head. Heavy grapefruit-chive aroma. Offers up strong citrus and passion fruit, backed up by pineapple and chive, but the hops are fleeting, leading to an underdeveloped, mildly bitter back end. Not bad, but not altogether memorable.

Took a while, but this pint grew on me. Starts out like a traditional West Coast IPA, with a prominent caramel malt profile and firm piney bitterness on the finish. Opens up as it warms, though, revealing notes of grapefruit, berry, and apple, while the malts develop a toasted undertone with a added earthiness to the fade. Goes great with their brisket and chicharrones.

Somehow manages to present the best elements of both a MoonPie and a dry, roasty imperial stout without being cloy or contentious. Chocolate, marshmallow, and graham are present, but dark fruit and anise balance out the decadence, and the back end grows bitter and charred, leading to comforting traces of chocolate-marshmallow goodies on the fade, yet maintaining the straight-laced integrity of a classic imperial stout. Very nice.

Smoke is very subtle, providing the slightest hint of char to the back end. Otherwise, a very drinkable Vienna lager, with hearty toffee-caramel malt notes backed up by hints of apple and lemon and a firm floral bitterness on the finish. Was hoping for a little more smoke--especially from a joint with such killer BBQ--but I can't deny how easy-drinking an amber lager they've made.
