Description
In 1843, in the heart of Poitou, in the commune of Montmorillon, the “Brasserie de Montmorillon” was born. Following their success, Montmorillon beers were then distributed to the finest amateurs and connoisseurs, until they became the best-selling beer in all of France at the time.
After some historical misadventures, the brewery closed its doors in 1963... Until 2015! François Guillon revives from his ashes the pride of his native land: the Brasserie de Montmorillon!
An ambition that allows him to give back to the inhabitants of this town their beer by producing artisanal and locally quality products, organic & made in France.

Bottle at Pitaya, Lille Europe. Pours lightly hazed yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus and light tropical fruit. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish. Goes OK with the food I guess.

Bottle, bb 11/26. Black, less than a coat of tan head. 3- Roasted aroma with green nuts, Welsh cakes, mocha. Silky, low carbonation. Sweet and dense with roast and Welsh cakes before firm bitterness, a little acidity, spices, almonds, oaked brandy. Good, reminds me of some De Molen stouts.
