Decent pale ale with a hint of rye sourness. Smooth and slick, murky copper body. Grain funkness (rye bread) accented by nice hop selection.

On Tap at the Boise brewery Hazy redish amber with a small but sturdy sandy head. Big bold pithy hop aroma. Grassy and resinous. Woody sharp rye notes with teh full fresh hop flavors. Rather bitter and a bit harsh as it continues to sip.

On Tap at the Boise brewery. Hazy pale golden, heavy soapy white head and lacing. Standard tart dry saison, easy on the spiciness, a bit of pale pitted fruit and a touch of the mellow oat cereal at the end.

Sweet, sticky, too many things going on here that don’t quite mesh. Kitchen sink beer? But what a difference a year makes, aging brings out the complexities, sweetness mellowed out, smooth, sticky, fruity

Nice looking brew, creamy texture, lots of sticky lacing. Faint aroma leads into sweet, fruity taste, finished off with some alcohol bite.

Interesting, not very hoppy, lots of rye sourness. Light copper color with creamy head, sticky lacing coats the glass. Woody, earthy, peat elements. Should be a specialty grain, not spice.

Nice buttery smooth saison, hazy rich golden color, small creamy head. Mildly grainy, lots of herbal, savory notes, some spiciness on the finish. Right on the money for the style.

651mL bottle, pours a dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out indeed a hot apple turnover, caramel malts, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is very pleasant, with lots of dark fruits upfront, vanilla, toffee and light booze. Well-balanced, fruity, sweet but not cloying, and nicely boozy. Really good.

On Tap a the Boise brewery. Murky redish amber with a thick lasting tan head. Lots of floral sharp spicy notes and some ripe pitted fruits. Sweet plum and a little holiday spice. Rather sharp scented candle notes at the end. Strange.
