Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. White head crackles and recedes to nothing. Sweet raspberry and meringue aromas. Soft with raspberry puree upfront turning to tart lime and pie crust before the medium length seed finish. Not good, but not as bad as it sounds.

12 oz. can from Leary’s Fine Wines. Canning date of 5/4/16... Caramel amber in color, thin lasting white head. Aroma is berries and earthy grain. The flavor is thin toasted grain base with notes of berries and ends on a lime peel bitterness. Kind of astringent. Body is that of very thin and watery brown ale.
I think I will stick with draft only with this brewer. Because to date, the only drinkable beer from this brewer was sampled on draft at the Ale House. This “X” series beer was not easy for me to drink.

Draft at Ale House Amesbury, MA. Pitch black liquid with a thin mocha head. Aroma is weak coffee grounds, light roast, maybe ash.
Yes, ash in the finish with the aforementioned, weak roast, weak coffee. Body is thin even for a porter. A step in the right digestion as this is the first beer I have had from this brewer that was actually drinkable. Maybe there is some hope.

Can from Craft Beer Cellar Westford Slightly hazy deep auburn color with a decent sized bubbly off with head that shows moderate retention. Raspberry and lime on the nose with a background of spicy earthy wheat. So the flavor is odd. Its a graham ginger brown sugar fruity spicy thing that reminds me of gingerbread cookies. I enjoyed the first few sips of this, but it wore on me after a while, too many clashing flavors imho.

12 oz. Can from Leary’s. Date canned 03/08/2016. Crystal clear yellow plenty of carbonation. Aroma is only a mild musty yeast, nothing more.
Flavor has a very mild cooked vegetables with a generic bitterness. No actual hop flavor. Mild, weak bitterness. High fizzy carbonation level. If I had this blind I would have guessed it was a home brewed Lager. Low on flavor without any real hop flavor. If I brewed this at home, I would not be unhappy with myself. However, I would never sell it to anybody. Not trying to be insulting toward the Brewer, just telling the truth.

12 oz can from Leary’s Newburyport. Brown color, thin lasting head. Aroma is caramel, weak yeast, mild nuts. The flavor is that of the aroma with a thin watery body. It reminds me of a friend’s homebrew from back in 2004. Yeah...

Pours like hazy cola into a shaker. Off-white head has a Coke appearance that crackles and recedes to skim surface. Caramel and (dare I say) cola aromas... Flat with sour nutty off-flavors. Dark sour chocolate finish. Um, I would not serve this as a home brew...

Pours slightly hazy golden yellow into a shaker. Bright head with medium retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Sourdough and caramel aromas. Soft with sweet hay and marshmallow upfront turning to sharp sourdough in the medium length finish.
