Bottle from Aldi, Wycombe. Had a different flavour of this back in Ratebeer days, (a gift from someone who clearly didn't like me very much!) but it wasn't rateable on that site due to the low apple content. Didn't take any notes that time, so given that it's allowed on Brew er I've had to buy another bottle to get the region tick. It's fake pink in hue with a hint of orange and a ring of white on top. It's too sweet and fizzy from the off, but that's pretty much a given with these fake ciders. It tastes of Ribena, fake raspberry, blueberry and sugar. Too sweet and fake for me, couldn't finish the bottle.

500ml bottle from Aldi, Darlington. Bright purple-red colour, fizzy pink foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of intense berry fruit, citric edge, sulphur hint. Taste is sweet, mixed berries, ribena, jammy, with alittle tartness and a sulphury note. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet berry finish. Very sweet.

Clear straw yellow with a small white airy head. Peach & mango flavourings, lime, fermented apples. Moderately sweet, light sour. One of better Älska products though commercial as well.

500ml bottle from Aldi, Darlington. 3.4%. Reddish-pink colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of ribena, mixed berries. Taste is sweet berry, fruit cordial, sugary, syrup, jam, with a slight citric tartness. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet berry finish. Very sweet & artificial.

Slightly misted crimson red with a small pink head of low retention. Heavy sweet forest berry jam on nose. Distant apples. Less sweet taste of the same profile. Light sour. Very simple. Very commercial.

440ml can. Actually made in the UK, but whatever. Pours clear red with no head. Aroma is artificial raspberries, other berries. Taste is medium sweet, syrupy berries. Sweet and slightly sour finish. Light bodied. Weak stuff. I remember adding and rating one of these on ratebeer not long after joining — I was swiftly and somewhat curtly informed that it wasn’t real cider and had my rating deleted 😁

Clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma and taste: Pure, light to medium sweet and sour. Good apples, less mentioned berries. Still a pleasant bouquet. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, lively carbonation. Overall: Not the worst flavoured cider ever.
