Bottle at the 7/27 DC RateBeer tasting. Clear pale yellow with off-white head. Aromas of apples, herbs, grassy notes. Tastes of apples, caramel, booze. Light body with a dry finish.

Dark purple. The fruit is rich, slightly smoky, but also a bit of that butyric stuff that comes from berries sometimes. On the palate a similar character, but the sweet fruits are nice.

Bottle at the July DC RB mini-tasting. Poured a clear, dark yellow color with no head to speak of. Aroma was sweet honey, orange. Light booze. Sweet light citrus. Very floral. Herbal. Flowers. Almost medicinal. Decent.

Sweet honey and some hops. Tastes like the more watered down variety of tej. You can actually get a sense of the gesho, which adds some legitimacy. Golden pour. Thanks to Maniac.
