Can from the brewery’s online shop. Clear golden body with a white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of raw potato, broccoli and white bread. Flavour of plain crisps and grassy, bitter hops. Thin body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. The lack of head and lacing could be improved but the aroma and flavour is good.

Can from Grain Schooner. It pours lightly hazy deepish gold. The aroma is fragrant, floral, sweet white grape, vinous, honeydew melon, gooseberry fool, twist of citrus and sherbet. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, some lingering firm bitterness, hint of acidity, straw, hay, white grape, gooseberry, melon, definite champagne character, peppery spice and tonic water with a twist of lemon with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Firmly dry and vinous. I rather like the champagne character to this.

The taste is firmly dry, bitter, oily, resinous, sappy, green, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, tangerine, pine needles, peppery spice, waxy peel and just a touch of alcohol with a drying, bitter piney linger. Medium body and fine to moderate carbonation. Lovely West coast character and I totally agree with James' comparison to Sierra Nevada. Except this is better. Brilliant stuff.
