500ml can. Murky orange, white head. Aroma of guava, mango, a touch vinous. Taste is sweet and creamy tropical fruits, guava, mango, lychee and peaches, a little NZ dankness, white wine, and almost none of the horrible burnt bacon notes that so often plague beers using this hop. Full bodied and smooth. This is one of the best examples of Riwaka I've had to date.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth, airy and slightly soft palate, decent fine carbonation emerges late on. Smooth pale malts, a good creamy sweetness, never over cooked. Guava led slightly ripe tropical fruits, rich tropical fruit smorgasbord, a little sweet lychee. The light crisp finish brings a fair dose of hop spice. A lovely Riwaka showcase!

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head that doesn't last long. Light palate, very mildly dry, a good fine minerally crisp snap. Light smooth malts, a very nice light creamy sweetness, one of those double IPAs where the malts are just sitting right. Motueka hops, well rather splendid here what ho? An unexpectedly bright and fairly rich tangerine mandarin thing before the very much expected key lime kicks in. Crisp cooling pine and a little hop spice on the light and crisp finish which also delivers mild skunk and a hop spice nip. Enjoying these MakeMake single hop DIPAs a lot, keep em coming boys!

500ml can. Opaque golden, white head. Aroma of ripe tropical fruits, lime, grapefruit. Taste is sweet and tropical, lots of ripe guava, mango, zesty lime, grapefruit, a bit of sweaty dankness, low bitterness. Full bodied, soft, smooth. A beautiful single hop DIPA and tied with Citra as best of the series for me.

Keg at CBJ, Bermondsey, 27/09/24. Hazed orange topped with an off white cap that dissipates to a swirl over time. Nose is dank hop, pine needle, grass, melon, ripe tropical fruits. Taste comprises melon, grapefruit, pine resin, dank kiss, mango. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close splashed with danko come lightly resinous hop bitterness. Solid.

Keg at CBJ, Bermondsey, 27/09/24. Hazed orange topped with an off white covering. Nose is melon, grass, papaya, guava, soft malts, grapefruit. Taste comprises bitter orange, pine needle, grass, pineapple, mango, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced juice laden hop bitterness. Not bad.

Taste comprises raw pineapple, dank chimes, grass, melon, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness. Tidy enough IPA.

Taste comprises tangy strawberries, berry pips, lactic tang, icing sugar, on the turn 3rd day strawberry Angel Delight. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a creamy edge. Enjoyable fun sour if a touch 1D.

Keg at CBJ, 27/09/24. Moderately hazed orange with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is bitter orange, grass, pine needle, lychee, mixed tropicana. Taste comprises grapefruit, dank chimes, subtle hop spice, guava, orange pith, pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come resinous hop bitterness. Solid pale.

Taste comprises grass, hedgerow, sharp pineapple, apricot yoghurt, lactic pinch. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a little nip of acidity leading to a light puckering climax. Fine.
