The company was founded in 1957 with the construction of a brewery in Gisenyi, located at Lake Kivu. Since 1971, BRALIRWA Ltd is part of the internationally renowned Group Heineken which holds 75% of BRALIRWA Ltd shares while the 25% remaining shares are hold by independent shareholders. As a socially responsible company Bralirwa Ltd supports a variety of projects from Education to Health and Environment.

Many thanks for this beer for new Country to Manslow. Piwo zupelnie nie ma piany tak jak stary dobry lambick. Oczywiscie jakosciowo i smakowo do lambicka nie ma porownania. Zapach wilgotnej slomy. Jasne, niemal zlote. Po nalaniu do szkla zachowuje sie jak nalana woda mineralna do szklanki. Smakowo to jak rozcienczony syrop z puszki z kukurydza konserwowa w proporcji 1:100. Nawet w upaly w Afryce moze zdenerwowac to piwo. Tak wiec smakowo i doznaniowo nie polecam, ale dla nowego kraju to tak. Dziekuje Marian za pamiec.

Yellow colored, clear, weak white head. Aroma of some malt, very light grain, metal and cardboard. Taste is bit of sweet malt, some grains, some adjuncts, no bitterness, metallic finish, very bland. Light bodied, lively carbonation, watery. Even more watered down Primus. (bottle, at Bralirwa brewery)

Clear, yellow-golden colored, medium white frothy head, overfoaming at first but non lasting. Aroma is of some malt, corn, bit fruity, some grassy hops. Taste is medium- sweet malt, quite corny, some buttery notes, light grassy bitterness. Medium to light bodied, average carbonation, watery.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge convention 05/03/2016. Thanks to our hosts for this one! A ruby red caramel brown coloured pour. Aroma is sweet vanilla and praline, spple and toffee apple. Flavour is composed of woody light malts, tangy apple, toffee, . Palate is airy carbonation, highish carbonation. Some staling.

F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, some particles floating in, clear. A: malt, grassy, cardboard, papery, sweet grassy. T: malt, grassy, corn sweetness, oxidized, medium body, normal carbonation, 65cl bottle from Matonge in Brussels. Thanks Cuso, Gurthnar and MisoW for sharing the bottle.
