(Draught at The Rover) Shady amber color, fluffy white head. Faint hoppy and fruity sweet scent. Nice fruity citrus hoppy bitter taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. In a blind tasting I would have guessed this to be an American Pale Ale for sure.

Bottled at the brewery. Hazy golden, small head. Juicy citric nose. Dryish and crisp, fairly light bodied. Highly refreshing with strong juicy citrus flavour. Long bitter, lighltly resiny finish. An excellent thirst quenching pale ale.

Bottled at the brewery and draught at The Rover, Göteborg. Clear deep golden, average head. Rich aroma of tangerine and wild strawberries. Sweet and medium bodied with soft mouthfeel despite crystal malt profile. Richly hoppy and with an interestnig, peculiar flavour from the Green Bullet hops. Lingering really bitter finish.

Bottle vintage 2005 from a blind tasting @ Bishop’s Arms, Malmö. Pours a black color with a lovely tan head. Has a roasted malty aroma with lots of chocolate and coffee and some honey hints in the background. Also some hints of dark fruit. Sweet roasted malty thick mouthfeel of chocolate, coffee and some oak hints. In the background you have the honey flavor aswell. Finish is dry roasted malty with some hints of alcohol and some nice bitterness in the aftertaste.

RB #999. From 25 cL bottle huge thanks to Grovlam. Pours dark/black with a creamy brown head. Liqourice and alcohol aroma. Flavour is chocolate, mild liqourice with an alcohol note. Clear alcohol presence. Dark and dry finish of alcohol, malt and liqourice. This is good, but no doubt that the Kaggen version is that bit closer to perfection.

500 ml bottle. Dark, dark red – almost black body with a nice beige head. Aroma is quite strong smoked. I find elements of smoked bacon and grilled mackerel in aroma. Very pleasant, you may enjoy the flavor alone for a bit before sipping the beer. Flavor is of course smoked malt, and very well balanced indeed between malt and bitterness. It’s also rather light in a way, but more balanced then e.g. Aecht Schlenkerla, which I find a bit thin. A real campfire beer to relax with.
