Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark ruby, very small head. Strong Gotlandsdricke-like juniper smokey aroma. Sweetish with notes of honey Near full bodied with clean mouthfeel. Like a cleaner, carbonated more well organized Gotlandsdricke. Many seem to prefer this winter version to their regular Rököl, but I find it a bit heavy on the honey.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. The second beer already this year made from Mackmyra smoked malt, this one’s top fermented I believe. Mahogany colour, creamy head, somewhat hazy. Strong peaty whiskey-like smokey nose. Full bodied with rich, vinous malt character, heavily woody/smokey. Surprisingly dry. Grassy, tarry finish. A fantastic attention grabber!

First try: Draught, pint. The Rover (Gothenburg, Sweden) on February 5, 2006. A dark amber colored fresh micro brew. The more I taste from this brewery, the more impressed I get. Very hoppy and fruity, not too much carbon dioxide, the way it should be in a bitter.8/4/8/4/17 Second try: Draught at Bishops Arms in Örebro, Sweden.Dark brown color with a creamy brown head. Citrus like hoppy scent. Very hoppy citrus taste. Nice fruity initial taste and good bitterness. Black color; beige creamy head. Soft aroma of roasted malt, some hop. Really harmonious taste, a lot of roasted malt, caramel, silky, good structure. Very pleasant and well brewed.

Dark amber to brown color. Nice malty and smokey aroma and taste. Maybe not enough complex, but pleasant.

Black colour with creamy tan head. Roasted aroma with some hints of licourice. Some smoked hints too. Roasted flavor with some hints of coffee and licourice. Some chocolate in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Amber colour with a tanned head. Hoppy aroma with some hints of malt in the background. Flavor of roasted malts and leaves you with a nice hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Head is white and long lasting. Aroma of flowery hops and a little grassy. Lots of hops in the flavor. Nice hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle. Amber in colour with a tan head. Aroma of smoked maltand a little hoppy. Roasted malt in the flavor with some smoke and a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste.
