Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Lovely hefe aroma (cloves, bananas) with a substantial contribution made by elderflowers. Flavour is again hefe with elderflowers. A quite nice beer this one!

(Bottle 50 cl) Pitch black and completely opaque with a brownish head. Lightly amoked, sweetish aroma. Sweetish flavours with lots of burned malts. Dry, ashy, bitter finish. 120805

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. The typical, fresh Närke aromatic, hoppy nose. Light caramel malt but almost drowned by an overwhelming bitterness. This one was not in balance in my humble opinion. 120805

(Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener golden, nice creamy head. Lovely fruity nose with a presence of aromatic hops. Light-bodied with a fine balance between malt and hops. Light and easy to drink but incredibly refreshing IPA. 120805

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, chestnut coloured with a small, coarse head. Extremely smoky aroma. Sort of light-bodied, roasted malt - but the smoke dominate completely. 120805

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, pale golden with a small, white head. Yeasty nose. Dry and light-bodied with pronounced notes of elderflowers. Not a great wheat beer. 120805

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy dark golden with a small, white head. Lovely aromatic hops in the nose. Full body with lots of caramel and sweetness solidly balanced by good hops. Never too much or too hoppy - just sophisticated and pleasant. 120805

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is nicely hoppy - my guess is from Cascade hops. The flavor is of caramel, grass, and hops, but also with some roasted notes. The end is dry and medium bitter. Thanks to the brewery for supplying this free of charge to RBESG.

Bottled @RBESG’05
Honey golden, not much head. Massively hoppy nose with some sweetness. Very hoppy, a bit sweet. Good malt character. Long bitter aftertaste.
