Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/25/2017. Slightly cloudy bright orange-gold color with a medium fluffy white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, leafy hops, coriander, yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/25/2017. The beer is a hazy apricot color with a medium fluffy white head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of yeast, berry and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of tropical fruit, herbal yeast, berries and grainy malt. The finish is tropical fruits and yeast. Good beer all around.

Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/25/2017. Hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Short strings of lacing. Tropical fruit, yeast and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of tart pineapple, floral yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is tart with a citrus and pineapple aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

8 ounce at the brewery (for 7 bucks - I’m really starting to get appalled at the pricing here - if you’re gonna charge that much, at least give me 10 or 12 ounces) - turbid gold - I’d almost call it "milky" - nose of rustic grain, mild funk, lemongrass, citrus, mild pepper - flavor is medium tart up front, followed by some earthy funk, making way for a spicy finish - there’s a moderate sweetness through the middle, some pineapple, melon, lemon meringue - the spiciness is actually a little much on the end, but the alcohol is well-masked, and the flavor has a decently balanced complexity to it.

5 ounce at the brewery, at a fucking dollar an ounce - what the actual fuck - anyway, this once is a lot better than the one in scotch and port barrels (which, sadly, isn’t saying that much) - nose of toffee, sherry, oak, cookie dough, fig, treacle - flavor is mildly boozy, but with a surprisingly bright acidity, light wine, treacle, cherry, sherry - body is a little watery, and the finish falls flat, but it works okay.

On draught at Falling Rock. The beer is a slightly cloudy amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of zesty grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle - pours dark brown tan head - nose/taste of pancake syrup, caramel sauce, bourbon, butterscotch, Werther’s Originals, chocolate and sea salt. Medium body. This is odd. I feel like I could have scored this anywhere from a 3.5 to a 4.5, but I really like it and that’s what matters.

Tap at the brewery - lightly hazy gold with a soapy head - a bit lighter and more sessionable than some of their other ipas - medium-dry, wild a light mineral quality - a lot of citrus, apricot, grapefruit pith, followed by a more herbal and peppery finish - soft texture - crushable and tasty.
