Brasserie Breweppes
Microbrewery
in Herlies,
Hauts-de-France,
France 🇫🇷
Associated Venue: Brasserie Breweppes
Established in 2019
Former optician, Franck Dufresne, converted into a brewer out of passion and opened Breweppes, from the English “to brew” which means to brew beer, a building of more than 600m2 which has
released its first barrels last April. Now working alongside him, Alban Houzé salesman and Johan Barby, brewer.
We work to create quality products, with the desire to highlight, through our creations, our brewing heritage.
We want to offer our Weppa beers exceptional notes and taste singularity, so as not to be ‘one more beer’ but ‘the extra beer’!
Weppa beers are unfiltered and refermented in the bottle.

Draught @ Breweppes. Pours a generally clear gold, loose foam atop. Aroma of clean sweet lager malt, continuing to taste, fairly low bitterness, some gentle cereal grain, balanced sweet clean lager profile. Decent.

330ml bottle from Biocoop. Pours misty gold, medium sized white foamy head. Aroma brings gentle citrus shades. Nice enough citrussy pale overall, easy quaffage with just enough hoppy elements, moderate bitterness, medium bodied.

330ml bottle, in a Christmas gift pack from Eric & Sylvie. Pours unclear gold, good white head. Floral sugary nose. Quite sugary sweet to taste, almost as if a sugary substitute is providing the flavour over hops. Thinning malt base. Supposed to be west coast but it's not. Not grabbing me I'm afraid.
