NEFF Brewing is a family owned business, founded by father & son team, Jon & Jonathan Neff. Their brewing venture began when Jonathan was diagnosed with celiacs disease in 2012. After he was told that he could no longer drink “regular” beer with out having an allergic reaction, Jonathan began his search for quality, craft, gluten-free beer. Disappointed with what was available in the market, Jonathan utilized his background in chemistry & engineering and began his adventure into homebrewing of gluten-free beers.
After years of recipe formulation and research on how to make a truly gluten free beer that everyone could enjoy (even “regular” craft beer drinkers), countless trials & errors, and LOTS of taste testing Jonathan decided it was time for a change in career path. Abandoning his graduate degree at Cornell University and his career as a laboratory chemist, Jonathan left school, moved back to Tulsa and NEFF Brewing was formed.
Since opening in 2018 NEFF Brewing has won awards for both it’s beer and it’s food, both judged against a gluten-full competition. NEFF Brewing crafts beers which are naturally gluten-free, specializing in brewing with new types of artisan malts of millet, buckwheat, rice, & quinoa, creating delicious beers that are “Brewed For Everyone.”

Bready malt, clove, and grass aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet toffee, clove, bready malt, and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body. An excellent gluten-free beer.

Ever so slightly copper and light bronze coloured body with a pretty thin, single centimetre tall tan head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a small lace on the sides. Aroma of light bread, a dash of biscuity malts with some stronger yeast behind and a dash of very light hops here that shows at the tail end. Light-bodied; Strong biscuity and appley flavours show with some light sweetness and a pretty big malt profile and not much else aside from a dry bite and a touch of sweetness at the end. Aftertaste shows some more pervasive yeast and malt notes with some biscuity notes with a light dose of sweetness from apples, pears and some caster sugars with not much else on the finish. Overall, a decent, but pretty uninspired beer with some yeast and light malt characteristics, but only a touch of complexity from curacao and light sugars without much else. Nice enough to sample, but not a great beer for a Belgie and not really worth trying to find - I'm glad I sampled this before I brought it home. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased yesterday from Freeman's Liqour Shop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 11-January-2023 for US$3,59 sampled in my hotel room here in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 12-January-2023.
