Description
Founder Tsjomme Zijlstra's idea to start his own brewery came to him after his time in England. He started to brew his own beer at home and decided in 2014 that he wanted go bigger. He met Menno and John, owners of Brouwerij de Molen in Bodegraven, and told them his story. They taught him how to brew with one of their old brewing installations. Kaapse Brouwers was born.

We are Kaapse Brouwers. We are the brewers who introduced craft beer to Rotterdam, and Rotterdam to the world. With our Kaapse recipes we brew non-conformist beers. We choose for bold recipes and love to experiment with different flavors to create contemporary craft beers.

Sliedrecht, fles, 330ml

Flink wat schuim. Waterig geel, transparant
Granen,zuur,
Kruidig, droog, CO2, granen, zuur. Waarom ze dit blond noemen, ontgaat mij volledig, koolzuur gaat gauw weg en daarmee smaakt het oud.

On tap @ Kaapse Kaap. Nice refreshing version of a dutch bok with distinct hop flavor, even at just 16 IBU. Food friendly.

On tap @ Kaapse Kaap. Nice refreshing version of a hoppy weizen close to a White IPA. Both sweetness from the wheat and fruty bitterness from the hops in fine balance.

Bottle @ Kaapse Maria. Dark brown body under a fine, big, creamy beige head. Strong and complex aroma, dark, roasted malt, dry fruit, wood, acidic berries. Taste has the same including balanced bitterness. Quite amazing to get this much taste out of a 4,2% ABV beer. Balanced body with a really nice and long lasting aftertaste. Super nice and impressive.
