Description
Founder Tsjomme Zijlstra's idea to start his own brewery came to him after his time in England. He started to brew his own beer at home and decided in 2014 that he wanted go bigger. He met Menno and John, owners of Brouwerij de Molen in Bodegraven, and told them his story. They taught him how to brew with one of their old brewing installations. Kaapse Brouwers was born.

We are Kaapse Brouwers. We are the brewers who introduced craft beer to Rotterdam, and Rotterdam to the world. With our Kaapse recipes we brew non-conformist beers. We choose for bold recipes and love to experiment with different flavors to create contemporary craft beers.

From tap at Bøker & Børst with BHK 29.06.15. Black. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, lime and dark chocolate. Similar taste. Fine bitterness and aftertaste of pine shoots.

Tap at Delfts bierfestival. Murky reddish brown with big creamy off white head. Sweet nuts, caramel, quite fruity with red apple, fudge, milk chocolate. Above medium sweet with almost full body and creamy feel.

Tap at Delfts bierfestival. Clear amber with lasting off white head. Fruit yoghurt, massive piny hops, bourbon, lime, orange, caramel. Quite nice mix between massive hops, sweet malts and slight lactic barrel notes. Medium bodied with sugary feel.

Fonefan 201214. Dark Brown colour With a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, smoked, coffee, chocolate. Flavour is alcohol, hop, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel, smoked, Wood. Full body. Nice beer.
