Bottle thanks to nihtila. This is 6.1%. Appearance - cloudy orange with a nice head. Nose - apricots and white pepper. Taste - canned oranges and spice at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy texture. Overall - nice fruity and spicy saison.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb and nihtila. 6.1 Pours hazy amber gold, thin white head. Aromas of yeast, white pepper, apricot kernels. Taste is more of the same, yeast-dominated. Dry finish.

Bottle, 0.33l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Pours pitch black color with small totally diminishing light brown head. Aroma of oak wood, rum, licorice, roasted malt and mild chocolate. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt with woody note, following with mainly licorice, mouthfeel is warming, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Lingering, woody and boozy...

Bottle picked up from Kaapse bottle shop last weekend, consumed at Frank (camper) Generation Europe, Rue de L’Eléphant, Brussels, Saturday 21st March 2015 Black and a tad oily on pouring, actually I retract that, it isn’t black at all its very dark brown peeling away to a light brown at edges. Just a bit flat in mouth but it does taste good. Really chocolatey but softened by the oakiness which adds a smoothness and creaminess. It’s nice, in fact it’s very, very good but I am unconvinced that it’s a better beer than the base beer, interesting yes better no. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle on Eurostar or Thalys Rotterdam - Brussels - London on Monday 16th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Had this on Eurostar leg of journey. Murky, puddly amber in colour with an off-white head. Citrussy and a little malt on the nose. Very citrussy in the mouth, lengthy bitterness, some fresh pithy lemon a touch dry. Good stuff. On tap Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Pours hazy dark amber with a tan (light tan head) Some alcohol wafts off of the nose, hoppy and with a streaky citrus bitterness. Soft in the mouth, also big uncompromising beast of a beer, takes no prisoners, but it’s lovely. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
