On tap Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Hazy reddy brown, a light carbonation with some off white bubbles rising to form a little rim. Very fruity seems like it’s barrel aged maybe bourbon. A bit of booze and perfume in mouth and some confectionery flavours, very, very twangy. Its good.A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

On tap Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Pours mid gold with a white film for a head, slight haze, it?s very nice but tastes almost like water next to the Lennie. Lovely tropical aroma, a little pineapple, once you’ve finished the Lennie this comes into its own it’s a very good session beer. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

On tap Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry If someone had of told me that this was a coffee milkshake (appearance) I would would have believed them, because to be honest for a beer this ain’t no looker. You cannot see through it, it’s a milky brown colour with a large off-white frothy head. Soft in the mouth it’s both sweet and fabulously hoppy, a lengthy bittersweet finish, the Simcoe hops are singing and the barrel ageing has softened it. A8 A1 T8 P5 Ov15 3.7

On tap at Proeflokaal Reijngoud Rotterdam, Friday 13th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Hazy amber with a white head. Slick in mouth and surprisingly easy drinking despite the considerable abv. Good bittersweet balance, and little spiciness with the hops. Soft in mouth, citrussy actually really soft in the mouth, like it. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Dark brown colour, almost no foam. Soft carbonation. Some particles in the beer. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, sweet rum and coffee. Bit thin but good beer.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Hazy medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, mostly lasting, fair lacing. Fruity citrus aroma, grapefruit, orange, lemon grass. Taste mildly sweet and medium bitter, fruity. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, fresh dry light medium bitter finish, quite nice.

Bottle at home. Hazy light brown with big off white head. Lime, endive, yeast, tangerine, unripe pears. Light toasted malts bring a little sweetness but mostly it’s a medium bitter beer throughout. Medium bodied. My review might read a bit weird, but I quite enjoyed this. Doesn’t taste like its barrel aged, also isn’t mentioned on the label. Maybe different versions?
