500ml bottle from Centrale. Dark brown colour, big foamy biege head and aroma of roasty malt, chocolate, coffee. Taste is malty, roasty, chocolate & coffee, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from an advent box. Pours gold/amber with a short-lasting thin white head, slight fruit/floral notes on the nose. It's malty and a little bitter, with a hint of sweetness balancing it out, and a smooth mouthfeel. Fairly uninspiring but a solid traditional English Bitter

440ml can from Angels Cut, Darlington. Amber red-brown colour, foamy tan head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, fruity, berries. Taste is malty, earthy, plum, berry fruits, with nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity finish. Quite drinkable.

Third by cask at GBBF Winter, Jewellers' Bar. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass. Remaining off-white head, dotted spots on the glass. Inviting smell of roasted, black chocolate. Chocolate malts throughout followed by roasted bitterness to the ending. Decent porter. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).
