Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

Can 33 cl. Cloudy, opaque orangey golden with a small and creamy, off-white head. Malty, slightly metallic nose. Medium body, somewhat sweet malts and again a metallic edge before a surprisingly heavy bitterness. 130525

Old rating from 20-12-15 - 330ml bottle, brought back from a supermarket on holiday in Fuerventura. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aromas are sweet & malty. Tastes of corn, grass, bread & sweet malt. Aftertaste is dry with light bitterness. Overall a decent enough massed produced beer, one I'd have again if I was in Spain.

Dark golden with a white, super fizzy head that vanished quickly. Very sweet, malt, a bit of fruit, honey, a bit of dark sugar. Medium bodied. Not sure where the 10 hops are … I think they maybe meant they used 10 hop cones per batch. It’s lacking in many ways.

0.33 l can. Nice deep golden-amber color. Sweetish-metallic aroma. The taste is waays better than one would think after sniffing. Decent bitter taste with quite long finishing. Not bad.

Bonito color naranja, densamente turbia. Final seco y amargo.
