Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Metallic nose and typical skewed British hops. Medium body, fruity and nutty with a distinct bitterness and again a whiff of metal. 090410

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy amber, airy head. Spicy piney hop aroma. Dryish, light and clean with strong resiny bitterness. Clean somewhat lifeless malt profile mkes it quite harsh.

Draught at Villi Wäino. Thanks to Niilo I think for letting me try this! Poured a copper-red body with an off white head. Honeyish maltiness and fruity hopiness mingle in the nose. The taste, however, while echoing this a bit, is way too light. No, this one I didn’t like too much. Might be overrating it.

Bottle (batch 341, 4.5%) from the K Supermarket at Kamppi, Helsinki. Hope this is the correct entry. Poured a murky orange-golden body with a tiny white head that went away fast. Strong grapefruity, sweet nose, love it. The taste, however, doesn’t live up to it. The hop’s there but the slightly sugary body feels just too watery for it’s own good. Expected it to be the best one of the night, ended up being the best smelling beer of the night. Ah, well, can’t have everything.

Bottle (batch 333) from the K Supermarket at Kamppi, Helsinki. Poured a misty darker orange body with a small slightly off white head. Light sweet fruity hoppy nose, slightly oily. Interesting hop profile, somewhere between fruity, fishy and herbal with some tropical? fruits leading the way just by a bit. Could use a stronger body but this one showcases the hops just as well. It’s nicely balanced. Anyway, glad to have tried some Stadin beers.

(Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki) Poured as copper coloured and mildly hazy with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained banana, sweetness, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were banana, fruitiness, malts, mildly caramell, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and mildly bitter. Nice to see StaPa brewing new styles and succeeding in it, too. Well done.
