Draught@Olutkellari Helsinki. Dark brown color, steady brown head. A bit chocolaty, toasted aroma, sweetish too. Yeasty, dark malts, some hops, chocolaty base. Nicely hoppy aftertaste.

(Draught, as Stadin Mokka Stout, at Olutkellari Helsinki on 2009-04-04) Black. Small tan coloured head. Coffee, roastedness and chocolate in aroma. Full bodied and bit stinging palate with medium carbonation. Cofffee, roastedness, little berriness, bitterness, hint of chocolate and ash in taste. Coffee in long lasting aftertaste.

(2005 vintage, Draught at Vihreä Haltiatar, Jyväskylä, on 2009-04-03) Amber and clear. Small white head. Sweetness, raisin, malts and hint of berries in aroma. Full bodied and bit dry palte with little carbonation and warmth from alcohol. Malts, sweetness, light bitterness, raisin, bit of fruitiness, light sourness and some berries in taste. Malty aftertastes. Despite the sourness this beer has aged well.

(Draught at Olutkellari Helsinki on 2009-03-13) Dark brown and cloudy. Medium sized tan coloured head. Malts and chocolate in very pleasant aroma. Full bodied and creamy palate with medium carbonation. Malts, chocolate, bitterness, hint of pine, some coffee and little bit of saltiness in taste. Bitterness and chocolate in aftertaste.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-02-27) Amber and hazy. Medium sized and lightly tan coloured head. Fruitiness and hint of pine in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Grass, fruitiness, hint of pine, bitterness, sweetness and malts in taste. Pine and bitterness in aftertaste.

Draught@Olutkellari Helsinki, Helsinki. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is quite fruity and flowery hops along with some mild grass and earth. Flavour is fruity and caramelly along with some mild grassy notes. Aftertaste is mainly fruity. Nicely balanced.

Draught@Olutkellari Helsinki, Helsinki. Yellow colour, no head. Aroma is apples, some mild notes of cheese and mildly herbal notes. Flavour is mainly apples and cheese, in a rather mild balance. For having an ABV of 6.1% it’s quite watery and mild. Nice to see Stadin back in business again though.

Draught@Hilpeä Hauki. Amber color, good creamy beige head, lace. Flowery-woody hoppy nose. Woody hoppy flavor with some sticky berryish notes. Lemony finish. More English than American. Not an instant hit.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki on 2009-01-14) Amber. Hazy. Small white quickly disappearing head. Yeasty and little bit sour nose. Full bodied palate, turns dry and contains medium carbonation. Malts, bitterness, fruitiness, some yeast, hops, little bit of grass, salt and sweetness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-01-08. Boadicea hops were used in this version.) Dark amber. Lightly hazy. White, medium sized and quite quickly disappearing head. Grass, malts and berries in nose. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Bitterness, malts, sweetness and cranberry like flavours and sourness. Long lasting bitter aftertaste. The berry flavours make me assume that something must have gone wrong in making this batch.
