500mL bottle, courtesy of fonefan (thanks Jan!), pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a reasonable Belgian yeast expression, with gentle esters, candi sugar, and doughy malt. Flavour is too sweet for the style, with candi sugar, doughy notes, and bright esters. Too estery, but too egregiously so; not carb’d enough. Not that convincing for the style but not bad.

500mL bottle. Pours hazy golf with an off-white head. Spicy Belgian yeast on the nose, floral notes, biscuit malts. Flavour has peppery yeast, grainy malts, some floral notes. Light carbonation. Not much to balance out the estery yeast. Not great.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a neat and lacing off-white head with good retention. Some initial spiciness before some strong and not overly pleasant phenols take over. Rich malty and fruity body, but the phenols still dominate. Potent alcohol in the finish. Rough. 140425

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque black with a dense if somewhat rough, dark beige head. Nose has roastiness and bitter chocolate. Rich, chocolate and roast with a hint of vanilla. Roasty bitterness with a warming finish. A very well made old school straight Imperial Stout. 020425

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque, dark golden with a creamy and lacing, white head. Nice fruity and citrusy nose. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, sweet, tropical fruitiness and a subdued bitterness. Very easygoing. 020425

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a deep, dark brown with an orange hue and a lacing, beige head with good retention. Estery Belgian aroma with brown sugars and a dark, dried fruitiness. Rich, sweet estery body. Dark, dried fruits and a slight roastiness with a warming finish. Delicious if not the most complex of Quads. Will probably gain with a year or two of cellaring. 020425

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a deep golden - borderline amber - with a slight haze and a solid and lacing, off-white head. Estery, phenollic nose. Rich, malty body - initially sweet but dries out somewhat. Kinda high in phenols, I may recommend using another yeast. Warming alcohol finish. 020425
