Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a solid and lacing, beige head with a good retention. A little farty, Belgian esters paired with pruney fruits. Rich, sweet body, Belgian esters and friendly phenols, dark dried fruits. Dries out towards the finish with a hint of licorice and hardly any bitterness. 020425

Sample, thanks fonefan! Clear mahogany colour, small head. Aroma of fudge, marzipan and dates. Sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Raisiny port, grainy marzipan and notes of salmiak. Warming bitter finish.

(thanks fonefan!). Very deep copper colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is fudge, some burnt wooden tones with mild chocolate. Flavour is dried fruits, some berries, mild alcohol and smoe fudgey tones to it. Smooth and quite nicely bitter too.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a tiny, rough, off-white head. Distinct plummy nose paired with berries, acetic acid and noble rot. Medium body, almost flat. Again noble rot, massive acetic acid - quite vinegary, red balsamico. Tart, loads of overripe fruit. Some baking yeast off-notes Interesing if not exactly sophisticated or refined. And lacking carbonation. 120225

30/11/2024. Bottle shared at Ulfborg tasting. Pours hazy golden with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is chalky, hoppy, slightly spiced. Moderately bitter. Carbonation is foamy. It's okay.
