Strong strawberries nose. Murky deep amber colour, good frothy off-white head, dissipating to a thin layer, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, strawberries, candy sugar, lactose. Taste medium sweet and sourish, light bitter notes, strawberries, lactose, earthy notes, Prickly mouthfeel, medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. Dry sweet and sour aftertaste, bit papery, light fruitiness, very nice.

30-07-20 // draft at the brewery. New special. Inspired by a historical Wijs (unfiltered Kölsch), fermented with kölsch yeast. A lot of buckwheat provides a super hazy beer and a thick creamy mouthfeel. Then dryhopped with Nelson Sauvin for a mild grape and light tropic bright fruit aroma

In de tuin uit een flesje. Voor een ongefilterd bier redelijk helder. Gouden kleur, wit schuim. Banaan in het aroma. Redelijk volle smaak.

Bottle 330ml at Beer Hunters. Golden colour and small white head and lace. Grainy, herbal aroma. Light-bodied. Hoppy, grassy, herbal flavour. Quite hoppy, not really Helles.

0.33 l bottle from 'Alehub', 2019 vintage, best before November 2025. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently vinous-fruity aroma of white wine, light lemon and a touch of gooseberry. A little sweet, minimally sourish, moderately vinous-fruity taste of white wine, some gooseberry, light grains and hints of lemon, followed by a short, minimally tart, slightly vinous finish. Quite okay, an easy drinker, just way too tame.

31/7/2020. Bottle from Craftbeer-Shop.com. Pours clear bright gold with a lasting off-white head. Lovely cardamom aroma, with nice pine and citrus. Really liked that. Nice bitter-sweet taste. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a rich and lacing, off-white head. Nose has some subdued and what seems like somewhat tired aroma hops. Medium body, sweet crystal malts, soft on the palate with a very solid bitterness. Weizen IPA in this case doesn't mean a White IPA, but a West Coast IPA made with some wheat malt. 310720

Enjoyed it a couple of times ow from tap. Exciting new stuff from Kuehn experimental lab ;) - fermented with the wild yeasts found on the wild handpicked elderberry and with passionfruit puree. Light bodied, full flavoured. Nose provides a fresh herbal elderberry aroma with subtle fruit touches. Starts with a light fizzy refreshing, mild tart passionfruit aroma, opening up to more herbal, fresh wild elderberry aroma with a very mild sour, wild yeasty elderberry aroma. Very well balanced. Mild juicy, easy drinking. Lovely.

0.33 l bottle from 'Alehub', 2019 vintage, best before November 2025. Clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, pinkish white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, quite fruity-vinous aroma of lots of red wine, plums and blackberry. Gently sweet, minimally sourish, quite fruity-vinous taste of red wine, raspberry, cherry, some grains and a touch of blackberry, followed by a short, minimally tart, gently vinous and a bit dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting one, nicely vinous but rather simple, have had much more complex hybrids than this one.

11-07-20 // on tap at Kuehner Biergarten. This is the second version of the Buchweizen Rhabarber Sour, fermented with a Nottingham Ale yeast instead of Kveik. Same thick hazy brighter orange color. Estragon in the nose. Strong rhubarb sourness. The taste is way cleaner and more defined, less to none fermentation by-prdocuts unlike with the Kveik. Thicker mouthfeel. Rhubarb fruitiness. A drier finish. I prefer the Kveik version.
