12 oz can. Pours a hazy coppery amber with a fizzy, diminishing off-white head. Dark fruit aroma (raisin, plum, red grape), toffee, red apple, with a bit of yeastiness. Rather light palate for a double. Flavors of red grape, raisin, red apple, pear coming in with the yeastiness, brown sugar. Honestly it's a pretty good light & clean dubbel.

Undated can drunk 12/25/24.
Lightly hazy/cloudy. Deep peach-bronze. Small, off-white head.
Bit of peppery phenols from honey fermentation. Clean, mild, lightly bready, lightly-to-moderately malty. White pepper and a touch of clove lingering.
Peppery/spicy to the max, but it's a black pepper-like spiciness, not an astringent clove-like character. Hits the back of the throat. Deep, bready and honey-like, rich malts with good attenuation and cleanliness on the finish. A strong, rich, spicy beer. Interesting and well-made in this case.

Can thanks to my mom! Pour a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of straw with a bit of sweet grain and just a bit of hay coming through. Flavor has straw throughout, a hint of lemon, light sweet grains and a bit of hay underlying.
