330ml swing-top bottle, Frankfurt. Out of date by 7 months when bought. Clear gold pour, loose bubbly white foam. Pale musty sweetness, some moderate bready malt, corn, moderate malt sweetness.. standard hells.

Buying it at one rewe to go Feuerbach, next to our hotel. Drinking it this afternoon making a break at our room before to pick up my wife making schopping. Nothing special, a typical German helles for the thirst, yeasty, a bit metalic, dry, malty, sour, basical bitterness.

50cl Fles van REWE Maichingen. Troebel diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Medium zoet, moutig, gist, licht droog, appels, licht tot medium bitter. Lichte body. Duidelijk gevalletje macro-Keller waarbij het depot bij bottelen is toegevoegd. Smaakt desalniettemin niet verkeerd.

Amber to orange with a grainy, metallic aroma covered by something that might be stale and dusty peppercorn. Taste is mildly bitter with a weedy, herbal edge. A modest candy sweetness lingers underneath. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Rough around the edges and fairly basic. Below average Kellerbier.
