Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear dark amber color with a minimal off-white head that recedes to a film quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Peppery and fruity aroma. Medium body with flavors of fruit, earthy malt and peppers. Really it tasted like a liquid fruit and vegetable salad. The finish is light hops and peppers with a short spice aftertaste. An intriguing experiment but I just can’t get on board with this.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours like a glass of grapefruit juice with virtually no head. Spotty lacing. Citrusy aroma with notes of coriander and wheat. Medium body with flavors of yeast, spices and lemon peel. The finish is tart fruit with mild yeast and spices left over. Definitely an interesting take on a Witbier, and one of the better beers on their menu.
