I expected this to be hoppy and it was. Light yellow body with medium white head. Evergreen and biscuit aroma. Hop fruity taste with malty strips. Wet finish.

On tap at Vice, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has rich vanilla beans, dark sugars, some salt, and light pecan. Flavour is sweet and syrupy, I guess like a liquid pecan pie, with copious cloying, syrupy sugars. Not much malt depth, just heaps of sugar. Totally unsophisticated diabetes bomb.

On tap at Vice, pours dark brown/black with a small beige beah. Aroma has some hearty oats and a touch of dry cocoa powder. Flavour is somewhat metallic, with light oats, stale cocoa powder, and some bready malt. Can’t shake off the slightly stale character. Light-bodied and weak. Not great.

On tap at Vice, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown with a small white head. Aroma has medium roasted malt and gentle earthy hops. Flavour is nicely balanced between gently roasted malt and earthy, piney hops. Smooth and well-balanced, even if rather timid. Solid.

On tap at Vice, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a reasonably rustic saison yeast with minimal esters, and some hay. Flavour does have a bit too much estery character unfortunately, along with gentle rustic notes, and a touch of hay. Too much estery nonsense coming through. Not great.

On tap at WABF 2026, pours a clear blonde with a large white head. Aroma is loaded with intense woody pine, big dank hops, and light allium. Flavour is pungent, with intense woody piney hops, light oils, nice allium, and crisp biscuity malt. Beautifully clean and vibrant hop expression. Excellent.

On tap at WA Brewers Fest 2026. Pours clear gold with a white head. Bright pine and resin on the nose. Flavour has woody pine, some grassy allium, resin, and a biscuit malt base. Fantastic.
