Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark ruddy copper with a beige head. Aroma of fruit, malt and a sort of chocolate. Med body. Flavor is rather chocolate up front, and has some lightly spicy pale stone fruit aspects, with rather roasty/toasty malt. Drier than expected. Not very bitter. Decent winter ale.

Tap at the Flaming Grill in West Sacramento, CA. Pours very hazy milkshake gold with a white head. Medium body. Flavor is very juicy and fruity- passion fruit and citrus. Juicily undry and moderately hoppy but nicely bitter. It’s incredibly tasty.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours clear brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is strangely strong and mild simultaneously. Almost like apple cider with a little pale stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is a bit unusual. Earthy pale stone fruit. Dry. Moderately bitter. A little earthiness in the finish. Subtle might be a descriptor. After lunch raised it a point because it did so well at setting off spicy tacos!

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of rye spice and pale stone fruit. Hints of mildly roasty malt. I think. At least medium body. The flavor is like juicy fruit gum with rye. Might be trying too hard there, but it's fruity and rye spicy. Fruitily undry. Even juicily undry. Nice level of rye spice, tho more wouldn't hurt. Nice tongue tingle there. And now it seems dry. Clearly hoppy. At least moderately bitter. All in all it's fantastic flavor.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours clear brassy gold with a white head. Aroma clearly has strawberry background, but tropicals are in front. Med body or a bit better. Strawberry is clearly present, but it isn’t working against the beer, and there’s passionfruit to spread the flavor a little. Dry. Bitter. The only time I have seen strawberry work in an IPA. Dry, fruity and bitter - but not in a citrus way. Pretty good stuff.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours coppery gold with a white head. Aroma of slightly roasty malt with light spice/grass. Rather clean and fresh. Med body - helped by decent carbonation. Flavor is rather balanced between the malt and the arguably Saaz hops. Crisp/clean. Pretty good - especially in comparison to many.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of dark malt and coffee. Med plus body. Flavor is smooth, bitter dark malt with some coffee notes. It’s fairly dry, and really bitter. Very tasty stuff for a sessionable ale. Pool beer IMHO.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours hazy grapefruit color with a white head. Aroma is tropical, arguably guava, and hints at dank. Med + body. Flavor is tropical, very arguably guava, very arguably dank, may have a touch of lactose, but it's reasonably dry and more than moderately bitter. Finishes sort of earthy/fruity. Getting drier all the time. Really good stuff.
