The name, SOLID GROUND, has multiple layered meanings. SOLID GROUND is a synonym for Earth from which the ingredients for our beer, cider, and wine are derived and skillfully crafted. The education and experience that our production staff bring is the SOLID GROUND on which we are founded. We want our facility to be a gathering point for families and friends. Thus, a SOLID GROUND is created within our own community.
We specialize in traditional lagers, dry ciders, and sparkling wine. Every beer, cider and wine placed on our tap list undergoes a collaboration of ideas, recipes, and taste-tests before the final product is served.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy darkly tinged orange gold with a foamy white head. Aroma seems citrus. Med body. Flavor seems citrus - even orange. Also fruity/floral. Quite soft bitterness. Juicily less than dry. Nicely hoppy and bitter. A light and pleasant APA.

Tap at Flaming Grill in West Sacramento, CA. Pours very darkly ruddy, but clear. Aroma of red berry and malt. Full bodied. Not at all dry. Red berry and malt that wants to be rye. But this is somewhat spicy/fruity, and likely not rye. It does have a decent amount of bitterness, just enough to stave off stickiness. A massive ale. Please sir, may I have a crowler?

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a slight, creamy white head. Aroma is sort of a white grape/citrus blend. Med body. It's juicy, seems to have some tangerine, and arguably white berry. Juicy, but rather dry. Slight hop burn, but not harsh. Pleasingly bitter. Malt is enough for support, but has no other function. It's good stuff - a bit different - a modern IPA - not old school for sure, and maybe a variation on NE. Gets more tangerine with time. Bottom line: good drink.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark ruddy copper with a beige head. Aroma of fruit, malt and a sort of chocolate. Med body. Flavor is rather chocolate up front, and has some lightly spicy pale stone fruit aspects, with rather roasty/toasty malt. Drier than expected. Not very bitter. Decent winter ale.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours clear brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is strangely strong and mild simultaneously. Almost like apple cider with a little pale stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is a bit unusual. Earthy pale stone fruit. Dry. Moderately bitter. A little earthiness in the finish. Subtle might be a descriptor. After lunch raised it a point because it did so well at setting off spicy tacos!

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of rye spice and pale stone fruit. Hints of mildly roasty malt. I think. At least medium body. The flavor is like juicy fruit gum with rye. Might be trying too hard there, but it's fruity and rye spicy. Fruitily undry. Even juicily undry. Nice level of rye spice, tho more wouldn't hurt. Nice tongue tingle there. And now it seems dry. Clearly hoppy. At least moderately bitter. All in all it's fantastic flavor.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours clear brassy gold with a white head. Aroma clearly has strawberry background, but tropicals are in front. Med body or a bit better. Strawberry is clearly present, but it isnβt working against the beer, and thereβs passionfruit to spread the flavor a little. Dry. Bitter. The only time I have seen strawberry work in an IPA. Dry, fruity and bitter - but not in a citrus way. Pretty good stuff.
