Description
The name, SOLID GROUND, has multiple layered meanings. SOLID GROUND is a synonym for Earth from which the ingredients for our beer, cider, and wine are derived and skillfully crafted. The education and experience that our production staff bring is the SOLID GROUND on which we are founded. We want our facility to be a gathering point for families and friends. Thus, a SOLID GROUND is created within our own community.
We specialize in traditional lagers, dry ciders, and sparkling wine. Every beer, cider and wine placed on our tap list undergoes a collaboration of ideas, recipes, and taste-tests before the final product is served.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours coppery gold with a white head. Aroma of slightly roasty malt with light spice/grass. Rather clean and fresh. Med body - helped by decent carbonation. Flavor is rather balanced between the malt and the arguably Saaz hops. Crisp/clean. Pretty good - especially in comparison to many.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of dark malt and coffee. Med plus body. Flavor is smooth, bitter dark malt with some coffee notes. It’s fairly dry, and really bitter. Very tasty stuff for a sessionable ale. Pool beer IMHO.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours hazy grapefruit color with a white head. Aroma is tropical, arguably guava, and hints at dank. Med + body. Flavor is tropical, very arguably guava, very arguably dank, may have a touch of lactose, but it's reasonably dry and more than moderately bitter. Finishes sort of earthy/fruity. Getting drier all the time. Really good stuff.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours golden amber with a white head. Mildly roasty caramel aroma. Med minus body. Tastes like a very nice Vienna. A bit Noble hop; a bit caramelized breadiness. Not very dry, and mildly bitter. Fits the style.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy amber gold with a creamy whitish head. Aroma is a pleasant level of clove with discernible banana. Med body. Flavor is a nice mix of banana and clove. Wheat seems detectable. Fairly well towards dry. Clove covers for bitter. A very tasty here.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours very hazy grapefruit color gold with a white head. Aroma of tropical and vanilla. Med body. Flavor has a certain tang. It starts juicy, some tropical, some citrus, vanilla hard to get, then it drops into earthy. Pretty dry. Pretty hoppy. Sort of tangy bitter. The earthy part somehow suggest the approaching of dankness. Don't think it gets there tho. A different sort of hazy/juicy IPA. Good stuff.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours bright brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is earthy, dusty, gingery, fruity. Med body or better. Flavor starts with apricot, delivers ginger, and arguably some white berry. It’s pretty dry; moderately bitter. It has a fruity richness I’ve seldom encountered. Very nice; deadly drinkable.

Sample shared at Cap Hop by the Solid Ground rep. Pours darkly juicy gold. White head. Aroma is almost dankly juicy, but let’s go with juicy. More citrus than anything, but there’s other fruit. Med body at least. Flavor is juicy, and it’s unexpectedly flavorful citrusy juicy. Not the citrus, just that the flavor is a bit off the current juicy path. Clearly another really good beer from Solid Ground.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with a touch of Noble hop - grassy? Med body. Flavor could be considered crisp and bready. Still thinking grassy hop, but there’s not a lot. More dry than night. Lightly bitter. Flavors seem strong and surprisingly pleasing for me - considering it’s 1) a lager and 2) lightly hopped. Likin’ it.
