Pours rather unclear blonde, ok white head. Smell is bit bitter with a sweet, spiced side. Taste is bitter, herbal spiced. (Could it be the spice we can ’dille’ perhaps ? ) not a bad beer, but a bit too much on the spice side to me. Not even sure there are actual spices used, but thats at least how it tastes.

sampled @ “2de Bierproeffestival van De Dijleschuimers”. Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Smell is full-on heavy fruits. Taste is bitter, sharp. Citrussy and pine. Very woody, even. Aggressive carbo and bitterness.

Another new beer from this renewed brewery, intended as an IPA. Thin and unstable, snow white head, dissipating in a short while, fizzy, hazy, light orangey blonde robe. Aroma of peach, flowers, water melon, bread, apple, orange peel. Crisp, fruity onset, peachy with a touch of banana, bit minerally with somewhat sourish accent, smooth body, bit biscuity and juicy, ending in spicy, floral, earthy hops, bittering but not harshly so. Should have been hoppier in both flavour and aroma to be a true IPA, in this form it is more a classic Belgian bitter blonde, but surely a decent one.

New beer from the renewed Angerik brewery, a quiet little brewery in Dilbeek I remember from the Boerke beers some ten years ago. Creamy, lacing, egg-white head, yellow blonde colour. Aroma of white bread, pear, grass, sweaty grains, straw. Soft fruitiness in the mouth, with a sour berry touch to it as well as somewhat sticky sweetness at first; a light bready maltiness makes up the middle, while the finish consists of grassy, deep but soft hop bitterishness, drying a bit. Unspectacular to say the least, and not completely flawless; I don’t see the point in this one, honestly speaking.

Old rating from a Zythos Bierfestival years ago. Hazy golden blonde beer with medium, creamy, yellowish white head; bit grainy, dryish with somewhat thin mouthfeel, subdued fruitiness but still very yeasty especially in the finish, moderately sweet with yeasty spiciness, lightly bitter ending. Decent but forgettable, like many Belgian blondes.

Old rating from Zythos Bierfestival 2008. Deep hazy bronze beer with creamy, off-white head; bready, yeasty, sweetish caramelly malts but not overly sweet, with a sourish touch and spicy notes, bit phenolic, yeasty and mildly bitterish finish, somewhat thin mouthfeel. Acceptable, but forgettable.
