Bottle. Can’t believe I never had this? Pours clear blonde, ok white head. Smell is bit biter, some yeast factors. Taste is sharp, bitter, spiced, somewhat malty. Extremely overcarbonated, one of the worst cases I’ve had. Hence the low score on MF. tastewise, its pretty average The gruut doesnt give it its own character by far.

Mooi donkerbruin bier met schuim. Gedronken van het vat in Zaventem restaurant Mariadal. Smaak is licht btter licht zoet met ietwat caramel. Is vrij licht van body en drinkt makkelijk weg.

[9/21/15] Draught at Le Trappiste in Bruges. Clear golden. Aroma of fruity esters and some spiciness. Yeasty flavor, fruity, spicy. Medium-bodied.

Cloudy golden colored, medium off white lasting head. Aroma is of brewing sugar, some caramel and fruits, lots of spices. Taste is medium+ sweet Belgian sugary, lots of spices again with some caramel, bit citric, medium- bitterness, some yeast. Medium bodied and carbonation.
